By accessing or using 1School.ai (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are a parent or legal guardian creating an account on behalf of a child, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and your child. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

Description of Service
1School.ai is a free, AI-powered learning platform designed for students in grades K through 8. The Service provides:
- Adaptive lessons aligned with Common Core State Standards (CCSS)
- An AI tutor that guides students through personalized learning paths
- A rewards system where students earn real rewards through learning achievements
- A parent dashboard for monitoring student progress
- A teacher dashboard for classroom-level insights
The Service is provided free of charge and is intended to supplement, not replace, formal classroom education.

User Accounts
To use certain features of the Service, a parent or legal guardian ("Parent") must create an account. By creating an account, you represent that:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You are the parent or legal guardian of the child for whom the account is being created
- You consent to your child's use of the Service under your supervision
- All information you provide during registration is accurate and current
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You are also responsible for supervising your child's use of the Service.

Acceptable Use
The Service is intended solely for educational purposes. When using the Service, you and your child agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose
- Attempt to exploit, manipulate, or misuse the AI tutor in any way, including prompting it for non-educational content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other user accounts, or connected systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Service (other than the AI features provided)
- Upload or transmit any harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
- Misrepresent your identity or your child's grade level to gain unfair advantage in the rewards system
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines.

Intellectual Property
All content on 1School.ai, including but not limited to lessons, problems, illustrations, design elements, AI-generated material, text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of 1School.ai or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or publicly display any content from the Service without prior written permission from 1School.ai.

AI-Generated Content
The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate and adapt educational content, including lessons, practice problems, hints, and explanations. While we strive for accuracy and educational value, please be aware that:
- AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors or inaccuracies
- The AI tutor is designed to assist learning but is not a substitute for professional educators, tutors, or specialized educational services
- AI responses are generated dynamically and may vary between sessions
- The Service should be used as an educational supplement alongside formal schooling
Parents are encouraged to review their child's learning activities through the parent dashboard and address any concerns with the Service or a qualified educator.

Rewards Program
1School.ai offers a rewards program in which students earn points and rewards through learning achievements. The following terms apply to the rewards program:
- Rewards are earned through genuine learning engagement as determined by the platform
- 1School.ai reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the rewards program at any time with reasonable notice
- Reward fulfillment is subject to availability and may require parent verification
- Rewards have no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged outside the platform
- Accounts found to be gaming or manipulating the rewards system may have rewards revoked and accounts suspended
- Delivery timelines for physical rewards may vary and are provided as estimates only

Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
1School.ai does not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
- The quality of any educational content will meet your specific expectations
The Service is an educational supplement and is not intended to replace formal schooling, individualized education programs (IEPs), or professional educational assessments.

Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, 1School.ai and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, educational outcomes, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
In no event shall 1School.ai's total liability to you for all claims arising from the use of the Service exceed the amount you paid to 1School.ai in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.

Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you via email or through the Service.
Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
