Every digit in a number has a place that tells you how much it is worth!

• Ones place: The rightmost digit. It tells how many single ones you have.
• Tens place: The middle digit. Each ten is worth 10 ones.
• Hundreds place: The leftmost digit in a 3-digit number. Each hundred is worth 100 ones!

Comparing 3-digit numbers: Start with the hundreds digit. If hundreds are the same, check tens. If tens match too, check ones.
